26th June |
Repotted. Generally, all are pretty poor. Those that have rooted are spindly and dont look healthy. Maybe I kept them in the propogator too long and they were over heated? Those that had no roots, I tried to re cut, adding more rooting compound, and put in the North facing conservtory. New cuttings on the windowsill in a covered unheated propogator.
23rd July |
Left the strong ones outside to sit on a bed, staked and
in pots. Some of them are straggly, and I'm wondering if this is due to
the parent being straggly or lack of light in the conservatory. Now following a regime; take cuttings and put in the propogatoron the window sill. Leave there for 2 weeks and transfer to the conservatory. Can see at that point if they are starting to take and grow |

1st October |
Brought all the outside oned into the conservatory after heavy rain and warnings of cold. The orignals from last year have been out since Beltane, and the cuttings out since July. Theses are the excellent ones, strong stems and great growth. Trimmed all the dead leaves off and set to dry, staked the new ones into bigger pots.
