Standstill

Space for You , July

Each year I do a couple of Rainbow 2000 camps, one of the long standing organisations puttng camps in the South West, in the FOrest of Dean/Monmouth area.

Its a weekend of relaxing and re-energising, with lots of workshops an relaxing stuff. I go there with the Wheel of Astrologers, where I print off birth charts. Usually there are half a dozen astrologers to do chart chats or workshops, but this year was special. Most of them were on a journey to the North of Scotland to watch the Lunar Standstill at Callanish

I stayed at home and watched from my house for the standstill on the full moon of the 9th; not as spectacular but I didnt have to travel miles!

The picture is a longish expose, with the camera balanced on a wall, taken at midnight with the moon at the lowest altiude, about 9 degrees above the horizon

Earlier this year I wrote a little programme to demonstrate what the Lunar Standstill is all about, and this, with a bit of information about the event is at this link here.

The Druid Camp is on the same site, and although bigger is on the same site. The facilities and feel is very similar
